Repeatedly announced, the concert by British artist Sami Yusuf will be finally held on Friday, April 27 in the Omnisports hall in Rades, TAP reports.

Contrary to rumors, the showwill not be organized by a political party, but by the Tunisian Association of Leisure and Tourism in collaboration with the events agency “Avdantages”.
Considered a messenger of love, Sami Yusuf has become “the biggest rock star” of Islam, right from his first revolutionary album, “Al-Muallim” dedicated to the worship of Prophet Mohamed.
Deeply involved in the humanitarian field, artist believes that “art is a sacred mission to serve humanity.” According to sources, this artist will return to Tunisia during the summer to participate in festivals.
Born in 1980 in Tehran (Iran), Sami Yusuf is a singer, songwriter, performer and British poet of Azeri origin.
Sami Yusuf’s music is comprised mostly of songs related to Islam and being a Muslim in today’s world. He also deals with many social and humanitarian issues in his music.
According to “The Guardian”, Sami Yusuf is the UK’s most popular singer from the Muslim world. In 2006, “Time Magazine” named him “Islam’s Biggest Rock Star”, despite a much more pop genre.
In July 2009 he was awarded a Ph.D. from the University of Roehampton for his great contribution to music. In a list of 30 famous English, singers prepared by BBC News, he is ranked in14th place.
With the success of his first title al-Mu’allim and his songs very vivid mixing different cultures, Sami Yusuf is appreciated both East and West. During his career, Sami Yusuf beats a great record crowd at a concert in Istanbul (Turkey) with 250 000 spectators.
Winner of the 15th annual Fes Festival of World Sacred Music, the artist was presented by “Time Magazine” as the biggest music star of the Muslim world. He also made the cover of dozens of magazines and other publications worldwide.
Giving concerts in different countries of the world, Sami Yusuf believes “that he uses his art and music as a way to promote the messages of love, mercy, peace and tolerance, while encouraging young people to be proud of their identity. ”
The first album by Sami Yusuf “Al-Muallim”, released in 2004, was a huge success, partly thanks to the title track.
His second album “My Ummah” was released in 2005 in two versions, a musical version and the other only by percussion.
In his various songs on the album, it’s a combination of several languages such as English, Arabic, Persian, Urdu and Turkish. His last two albums are “Without You”, released in January 2009 recording more than 2.35 million copies, in terms of sales and “Wherever You Are” released in October 2010.
