Tracklist + Liner Notes

  1. Intro (The House Concert)
  2. Healing (The House Concert)

    It’s so hard to explain
    What I’m feeling
    But I guess it’s ok
    Cause I’ll keep believing
    There’s something deep inside
    Something that’s calling
    It’s calling you and I
It’s taking us up high to

    Healing, a simple act of
    kindness bring such meaning
A smile can change a life, let’s start believing
    And feeling, let’s start healing

Heal and you will be healed
    Break every border
    Give and you will receive
    It’s nature’s order
    There is a hidden force
    Pulling us closer
    It’s pulling you and I
It’s pulling us up high to

    [Arabic:]
Hearts in the hand of another heart
And in God’s hand are all hearts
An eye takes care of another eye
And God’s eye takes care of all

A kind word is an act of charity
A smile to your brother is an act of charity
All goodness is a form of charity
O Lord, cure the illness and heal in a way that leaves behind no ailments

    Let’s start healing

  3. Al Faqir (The House Concert)

    [Arabic:]
I am in need of You,
but You have no need of me

    I am weak
but You are abundant in strength

    All things vanish and disintegrate,
but You alone are the Living

You gave me life and an aspiring spirit,
    full of hope and fear

    For you are our Protector,
    O Protector, O Protector!

  4. You Came to Me (The House Concert)

    [Arabic:]
    Send salutations upon him

    You came to me
    In that hour of need
    When I was so lost
    So lonely

    You came to me
    Took my breath away
    Showed me the right way
    The way to lead

You filled my heart with love
    Showed me the light above
    Now all I want
    Is to be with you

You are my one true love
    Taught me to never judge
    Now all I want
    Is to be with you

    [Arabic:]
    O God
Send Your blessings upon our leader, The Chosen One
Upon Your Beloved, Your Prophet, The Chosen One

    You came to me
    In a time of despair
    I called on you
    You were there

    Without you
    What would my life mean?
    To not know the unseen
    The worlds between

    For you I’d sacrifice
For you I’d give my life
    Anything,
    Just to be with you

I feel so lost at times
By all the hurt and lies
    Now all I want
    Is to be with you

    Showed me right from wrong
    Taught me to be strong
    Need you more than ever
    O Messenger of God

    You came to me
    In that hour of need
    Need you more than ever
    O Messenger of God

  5. Meditation (The House Concert)

    [Arabic:]
Peace and salutations upon you O Messenger of Allah
Peace and salutations upon you O Beloved of Allah
    Peace and salutations upon you
    Upon you O my Master
Upon you O Master of the first (generations) and the last (generations).

  6. Worry Ends (The House Concert)

Don’t be saddened by what you see
By all the lies and treachery
Life is cruel but don’t worry
In your heart lies the key
    To unwind all the secrets
    Of this life we see

When you feel you’ve lost it all
When you don’t know who’s your friend or foe
You wonder why you’re so alone
    Worry ends when faith begins
Don’t be sad by what you see
It’s true life has its miseries
But one thing’s always worked for me
    Worry ends when faith begins

Don’t be saddened by what you see
I know life can be crazy
    A showcase of hypocrisy
    In the form of piety
    It’s just one big mystery
    For you and me

I found my peace deep within
    Calling inside
Follow what you feel is right
So trust your heart go ahead
    Don’t lose sight
    Follow that voice deep inside

When you feel you’ve lost it all
When you don’t know who’s your friend or foe
You wonder what you’re so alone
    Worry ends when faith begins

Don’t be sad by what you see
It’s true life has it’s miseries
But one thing’s always worked for me
    Worry ends when faith begins

    If you’re weak it’s not a crime
Don’t you know it’s blessing in disguise
To know who’s honest and who spread lies
    Worry ends when faith begins

Don’t be sad by what you see
It’s true life has it’s miseries
But one thing’s always worked for me
    Worry ends when faith begins

  7. Hasbi Rabbi (The House Concert)

    [Persian:]

Plead on my behalf before God

Biyā ke berim be mazār Molla Mammad jān
Seyl-e gol-e lālezār vā vā delbar jān
Gerye konim zār zār, hāy hāy delbar jān

    [CHORUS (Arabic):]
    Hasbi rabbi jallallah
    Ma fi qalbi ghayrullah
    Noor-e-Muhammad sallallah
    La ilaha illallah
My Lord is enough for me, Glory be to God
There is nothing in my heart except God
    The light of Mohammed,
God’s peace and blessings be upon him
There is none worthy of worship but God

    [Urdu:]
    Wo tanha kaun hai?
    Badshah wo kaun hai?
    Meherba wo kaun hai?
    Who is the only One?
    Who is the King?
    Who is the Merciful?

    Kya unchi shan hai
    Uskey sab nishan hai
    Sab dilon ki jan hai
Who is the most praised and benevolent?
Whatever you see in this world is His sign
He’s the love of every soul

    [Turkish]
    Affeder gunahi
    Alemin padisahi
    Yureklerin penahi
He is the Forgiver of all sins
He is the King of the universe
He is the Refuge of all hearts

    Isit Allah derdimi, bu ahlarimi
    Rahmeyle, bagisla gunahlarimi
    Hayreyle hem aksam hem sabahlarimi
O God hear my sorrows and my sighs
Have mercy and pardon my sins
    Bless my night and days

    [Arabic:]
    Ya rabbal ‘alamin
    Salli ‘ala Tahal amin
    Fi kulli waqtin wa hin
    O Lord of the worlds
    Send peace and blessings
    On Taha the trustworthy
In every time and at every instant

    Imla’ qalbi bil yaqin
    Thabbitni ‘ala hadhad din
    Waghfir li wal muslimin
    Fill my heart with conviction
Make me steadfast on this way of life
And forgive me and all the believers

  8. Wanderer (The House Concert)

    In my mind
    Foreign lands
    Followed lines
    On my hands
    Tasted earth
    Touched the skies
    Swam the pools
    Of my eyes

    People talked
    In their fear
    Rumours always
    Whispered here
    Where and why,
    From what shore
    Who was I
    Searching for

    You can call me worshipper
    You can call me follower
    But I’m just a wanderer
    In search of my lover
    You can call it foolish
    A kind of madness
    But I’m just a wanderer
    In search of my lover

    Pushed and pulled
    Through these worlds
    Winding roads
    I crossed & curled
    Pain & love
    Hope & fear
    In between
    All unclear

    Drunk on time,
    Spin my thoughts
    States of mind
    Turning doors
    Ask me now
    Who I am
    Turn your back
    Take my hand

    You can call me worshipper
    You can call me follower
    But I’m just a wanderer
    In search of my lover
    You can call it foolish
    A kind of madness
    But I’m just a wanderer
    In search of my lover

    There’s a fire calling me
    Burning me
    Leading me
    Into ecstasy

    You can call me worshipper
    You can call me follower
    But I’m just a wanderer
    In search of my lover
    You can call it foolish
    A kind of madness
    But I’m just a wanderer
    In search of my lover

[Round round round round round round round round]

Description

Live from his studio, Sami Yusuf is joined here by musicians in the UK and Turkey. This intimate, personal performance features totally new arrangements of some of his best known works as well as the world exclusive live debut of his recently released ‘The 99 Names’. With its stripped down, minimal sound, the meditative tone heard here highlights the artist’s iconic voice.

Recorded in technically challenging circumstances, this unexpected album is Sami Yusuf’s response to the pandemic restrictions. As we pass through this challenging time, this work is being released with the hope of immersing listeners in an uplifting soundscape rich with the echo of the eternal.
