Posted on February 19th, 2011

ETM International is hosting a video competition to compile footage for the official music video of “I’m Your Hope” — a video dedicated to and by the youth. Looking forward to recieving your entries! Extended deadline: March 4th 2011. Click here for more detailed instructions.

ATTENTION TO ALL PRO & SEMI-PRO VIDEO CREATORS – An opportunity to work on an international Music Video with Sami Yusuf.

We are making a Music Video for the following song “I’m Your Hope” (Unofficial Video) by Sami Yusuf. The song is about the trials and challenges faced by the youth and how we, collectively, are either indirectly or directly ‘harming’ and ‘killing’ our youth. It’s a global initiative and we would love for everyone to be a part of it.

We are putting together the brilliant snippets we’ve received from the competition for the official I’m Your Hope video. But it’s going to take a while. We thought we should have more of your entries meanwhile. So, here’s another chance for you to pick up your cameras, film and send your videos over by 4th March!

We’re accepting all good quality videos so don’t shy away from using your mobile phones! Follow the guidelines given below.

Waiting for you all. Good luck!

Make a clip using young people (different genders and races) writing the following words:

      • Hope
      • Globe
      • Give up
      • Despair
      • Nothing
      • Repair
      • Change
      • This world
      • Better world
      • Soul
      • You
      • Harm
      • Truth
      • Youth
      • YOUTH
      • Hope
      • Faith
      • Words and action
      • We are hope
      • Peace
      • Knowledge
      • Pen
      • Pain
      • Don’t forget me
      • Conscience
      • I am your youth

Use your own creativity to judge the scenes. Someone could write a word on a wall. Another could write with a pen on paper. Other can write with chalk on the pavement. Think about your scene as a small sequence in the video. And remember to build up the tension, or build up the understanding of the scene. Also, it would be good to see the actors walking or moving. N.B. The scenes should not be more than 5-6 seconds.

Extended deadline: 4th March, 2011
