Muscat: Music mogul Sami Yusuf is all set to perform live at a show to be held at the Grand Hall of the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) on August 30. The show will be organised by Black & White in association with Bandera Events LLC.
This will be the debut performance by the accomplished British singer-songwriter, composer, producer and musician who has won the hearts and minds of millions from across the Middle East, Europe, North America and North Africa.
Considered one of the biggest messenger of love, hope and peace in the Islamic world, Sami Yusuf, 33, who entered record books after a staggering 250,000 people packed the Taksim Square in Istanbul, Turkey to see him perform, is seen by many of his fans as nothing less than a phenomenon.
Hailed by The Guardian as the ‘most famous British Muslim in the world,’ Sami, who has now gained further international recognition with his latest album, Salaam, has expressed great interest in performing in Oman before his fans here, the organisers said.
